250g coffee bags & pouches

Recommended Labels for 250g Coffee Packs

250g is a popular retail coffee size. A compact square or rectangle works well for simple front branding, while a taller roll label gives you more room for origin, roast level and tasting notes.

Good starting pointKeep the front label comfortably inside the flat face of the pouch. If the artwork feels crowded, use a separate back label for additional information.

Measure before ordering

How to Measure a Coffee Pouch for a Label

The most reliable way to choose a label is to measure the exact flat area where it will sit. Seams, gussets, valves, folds and curved jars can all reduce the usable space.

1
Measure the flat width

Measure horizontally across the usable face of the pouch or jar.

2
Measure the flat height

Measure vertically without crossing seams, folds, valves or heavily curved areas.

3
Leave some breathing room

A label slightly smaller than the available area usually looks cleaner and is easier to apply.

Simple test: Cut a piece of plain paper to the proposed label dimensions and hold it against your coffee packaging. You will immediately see whether the proportions look right.
Choose the shape

Popular Coffee Label Shapes

The shape changes the character of the pack as much as the size. Rectangle labels provide plenty of room for information, while square and round labels can create a simpler branded look.

Rectangle Labels

Ideal for front and back coffee labels where you need room for branding, origin, roast details and other product information.

Square Labels

A clean choice for modern coffee branding. Our 50.5mm and 65mm stock square sizes are useful starting points for smaller and medium packs.

Round Labels

Useful for secondary branding, roast indicators, promotional stickers, jar lids or smaller feature labels.

Coffee label size FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What size label should I use for a 250g coffee bag?
There is no single size that fits every 250g coffee bag. As practical starting points, consider our 50.5 × 50.5mm square or 63.5 × 72mm A4 sheet labels. If you want a larger printed roll label, 69 × 97mm is another useful option. Always measure the flat face of your actual pouch before ordering.
What size label should I use for a 500g coffee bag?
For a 500g pouch, our 65 × 65mm square and 99.1 × 93.1mm rectangle sheet labels are useful stock options. Larger custom printed roll sizes such as 90 × 140mm are available when you want more branding or information space.
What size label should I use for a 1kg coffee bag?
Our 99.1 × 139mm A4 sheet label is a useful larger stock option. For roll labels, larger formats such as 94 × 140mm or 96 × 150mm can work well, subject to the dimensions and flat area of your particular coffee bag.
Can I use separate front and back coffee labels?
Yes. Using separate labels can help keep the front of the pouch visually clean while giving you more room on the back for additional product information, brewing guidance or other details.
Are square labels suitable for coffee packaging?
Yes. Square labels can work particularly well with simple or modern coffee branding. Our stock sheet range includes 50.5 × 50.5mm and 65 × 65mm square options.
Can I use round labels on coffee packaging?
Yes. Round labels are useful for smaller branding elements, jar lids, roast indicators, promotional messages or secondary stickers. The main front label does not have to be rectangular.
Should I choose coffee labels on sheets or rolls?
A4 sheets are useful when you want stock sizes, smaller quantities or the flexibility to print labels yourself. Custom printed roll labels offer a wider choice of sizes and are well suited to repeat production and larger quantities.
How do I measure a coffee pouch for a label?
Measure the flat usable width and height where the label will actually sit. Avoid including gussets, seams, valves, folds or heavily curved areas. Leaving a small border around the label normally makes application easier and the finished pack look cleaner.
Can you produce a coffee label size that is not listed here?
Yes, other specifications may be available. If you cannot see the size you need, send us your packaging dimensions, required quantity and label requirements through our quote page.
