MWPE is our thickest yet softest and most flexible material — ideal for labelling curved and uneven surfaces, and for long-term use in harsh environments. Originally designed for chemical drum labelling, it’s a strong choice for both outdoor and indoor applications, including bathrooms, kitchens and gardens, and for tracking items shipped long distance.
Waterproof printing (important)
The MWPE film itself is waterproof. For print performance: MWPE is fully waterproof when printed with laser printers. Inkjet inks are typically water-based and can run or smudge when wet — we recommend checking your printer specifications or testing a sample first.
Marine immersion standard
This material and adhesive meet BS5609 Part 2 (marine immersion) performance requirements and has been tested in salt water, making it suitable for outdoor and marine use where label failure is not an option.
Colour & finish
Our polyethylene is slightly off-white. The matt finish gives a high-quality durable look and tends to look best on surfaces with a similar matt finish.
If MWPE is too thick for your application, we recommend our thinner, less flexible polyester material: Waterproof Polyester A4 Labels.
